From my anecdotal perspective, the use of porn is a self-medicative mechanism for a feeling of lack.

If you have a decent and fulfilling life you shouldn't need to use porn.

I have the nofap log thread at @Shrek 's request too... since both of us guys practice the abstinence from masturbation (not porn, even though we do encourage to do so).

There are other members of this forum who participate in nofap too. So you better ask them and shrek if you want the thread deleted (everyone should agree to the deletion of the thread, that's why).

Getting rid of porn is one thing... but getting rid of masturbation from your life is another thing (which I believe it is much harder).

Dw, you can make it. It's only the first week which is the hardest to survive imo.
I think pornography not only makes masturbation more enjoyable... but porn KEEPS you addicted to masturbation.

Those images stay stuck in your head and subconscious. The content you feed yourself makes you want more of it, even though it is the same thing. And as a result you remain in bondage to masturbation forever. Even during this streak I watched porn, but I am trying to not watch it now... because it fuels my desire to relapse. It makes nofap much more harder. You need to distract yourself through copes and need to start praying to get strength.
