I saw a megathread about how to fix gut health that was so many words, so little info so here it is summarised:

How to Heal Your Gut

  1. Eliminate Inflammatory Offenders:
    • Avoid toxic fats, processed foods, gluten, alcohol, and chemicals like NSAIDs.
    • Consider a 30-day elimination reset.
  2. Master Digestion:
    • Chew thoroughly (20-30 times per bite) for better nutrient absorption.
    • Drink apple cider vinegar or lemon water to stimulate stomach acid.
  3. Strategic Fasting:
    • Try 12:16 intermittent fasting or 24-36 hour weekly fasts to support gut repair.
  4. Healing Elixirs:
    • Bone broth, eggs, dates, raw milk, honey, black seed, and olive oil give gut-repairing nutrients.
    • Black seed (Nigella sativa) is praised for its anti-inflammatory properties and healing benefits.
  5. Cultivate a Healthy Microbiome:
    • Eat probiotic foods (e.g., kefir, kimchi) and prebiotics (e.g., garlic, onions).
    • Use targeted probiotic supplements.
  6. Prioritize Sleep:
    • Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep to repair the gut lining and balance the microbiome.
  7. Cold Showers (Optional):
    • Boost circulation and reduce inflammation, supporting gut health.
  8. Get Outside & Move:
    • Exposure to sunlight helps vitamin D production; light exercise aids digestion.

This is a very good thread, shortly made but there’s one thing you’d didn’t take into accountability.
1. Strategic Fasting:
  • Try 12:16 intermittent fasting or 24-36 hour weekly fasts to support gut repair
Fasting in general is a survival state of the body, the maximum I’d go without food would be 24 hours and this enough ofc,but anything above that is stupid,36 hours,48 hours,72 hours are so shit.
