A woman's body needs more carbohydrates to function due to the large hormonal difference.

Specifically, in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, the body needs more carbohydrates due to the increase in progesterone.

Listen to your intuition

You are different from a man, so you should not follow a man's dietary guidelines.

So you shouldn't look at male research and conclude the optimal female diet.

Yet another great thread by you. As always, women should obviously still eat lots of meat as a part of an animal based diet, but to achieve health, they do need more body fat. I'm actually quite interested in this topic. Please reply if you have any studies on the info in this thread.

people on a keto or low-carbohydrate diet will feel great at first because they will be running on cortisol and adrenaline (which will make them feel good somehow).

but in the long run it is tremendously detrimental to your physiology and terribly catabolic for you (they always look haggard/stressed).

I don't know if you are familiar with Ray Peat's ideas, but he was a physiologist and biologist focused primarily on female reproductive health.

he talked about progesterone and thyroid and stress hormones in general such as estrogens, serotonin and cortisol he mentioned how the latter (stress hormones) were not only detrimental to reproductive health but also to your health to your well being and overall body development

It's true, when I was younger I also had those popular normie ideas in my head.

But everything changed when I delved into physiology and 'more esoteric' health concepts.

we were tricked by the matrix (they made me eat legumes 😭)

legumes aren’t bad (if cooked well and throughly + soaked) they carry a good amount of micronutrients (antinutrients when not cooked well that can bind to other minerals and keep you from absorbing them) and it’s easy to fit into a diet as a side.

I used to eat too much of them (lentils, chickpeas, black beans) because they are cheap in my country.

but now I gave them up completely, for me they are not worth it, because of the antinutrients and the phytoestrogens that mimic estrogens.

too much of anything is bad, always good to have a wide variety of fruits, meats, veggies🥲 but overall they’re very good for the amount of micronutrients they provide, they just need to be cooked and soaked very well.
